Sundays at Wellspring Church Leicester
Our Sunday morning meetings are a key part of church life. It’s where we gather as a whole community to worship God and everyone is welcome. As we do this we believe God is with us in a real way and we are able to grow in our understanding and experience of His life-giving love and power.
What to expect
Our meetings are pretty relaxed and informal, we aim to make them as accessible as we can so everyone can engage with what’s happening. We start at 10:30am with a brief introduction leading into a time of sung worship with a contemporary band. During this time people are free to stand, sit, just observe, or engage in worship however they feel most comfortable. Each week there is a relevant talk from the Bible and an encouragement to apply what we hear to our lives. We end the meeting at around 12 noon, often with an opportunity for prayer and a song. Afterwards there is plenty of time to stay around and get to know people better over tea and coffee.
Kids & Youth
At Wellspring, we are passionate about helping our children discover and grow in their relationship with God. Jesus welcomed and blessed children, and told his disciples not to get in their way. We aim to provide children with something that is accessible and meaningful, whatever their age, showing them that Jesus is real and that He cares for them.
Safeguarding
Crèche
For our under 3s and their grown-ups, we have a crèche room available. We’ve got plenty of toys to keep our littlest ones entertained, as well as some Bible stories to enjoy.
Wellspring Kids
Our 3-11s meet together for the duration of the main meeting to worship and hear a story from the Bible. Then they split into three age groups (Sparks, Flames and Blaze) for activities. We aim to create an environment where our children can worship and encounter God together, learning from the Bible and discovering how to live as disciples of Jesus. On the second Sunday of the month they join the main meeting.
Wellspring Youth
For our secondary school age children in years 7-9, Youth provides an opportunity to discuss life and faith, helping our young people develop their growing relationship with Jesus. Youth starts after worship each week except from the second Sunday of the month when we encourage our young people to engage with the main meeting. We also encourage our young people to get involved in church life through serving in various ways, including with audio-visuals, welcoming and helping the younger children in Wellspring Kids.
